Mr. Doormat: The Role I Didn’t Want At All

by malik on Aug.04, 2010, under whatever

It’s been almost seven months and why can’t I get it into my thick skull that you can’t expect a person to act the way you want them. To instill all these attributes, to conjure a memory that never was, none of this is helpful.

Where’s your self respect man? You deserve better than playing Mr. Safety. Why waste the limited time you have on some girl who wouldn’t care if you’re around the next moment. Until you want better, you’ll get what you have asked for; idle in stagnation, road to nowhere.

Remember when you gave a damn? How things were never that bad, and you were always able to overcome the obstacle? It’s not too late.

Do what you have to Malik. Now.

it encourages fear
dreams of fate serve better
than the fate of lost dreams
this atmosphere, soaked with intense pressure
opens the gates for a downpour

Shakespeare in the park

by lostofficehero on Jul.09, 2010, under whatever

Waiting in line to get tickets to see Al Pacino do Shakespeare’s “A Merchant of Venice” hasn’t been too bad. The kids got here at 2am and spent the night sleeping on the streets of New York. Yes, they are all crazy. But so are the 300 other people in line. I just showed up to entertain my friends. And be their amigo delivery boy.

Now it’s raining. Hahahhahaha.

kick

desperation:
drives innovation, creativity and inspiration,
desperation: drives us into a mess
is the root of change
is rock bottom: nowhere to go but up
hoping it will provide the proper kick in the ass,
desperation has found me hoping
hoping that it will pass.
