By halftime of last night’s game, the Celtics led the Nuggets 77 to 38, and eventually won 119-93. Pierce had 26, Garnett 23, and Ray Allen had 22 points. Stephen A. Smith was so excited on yesterday’s Sportscenter that he tried repeatedly to coin the “Big3″ as “Lethal Weapon 3.” He was promptly ignored.

Talk about good times in Boston: Red Sox won the Series, Patriots crushing teams, Boston College actually mentionable, and Celtics looking good. Only Fabian Basabe could be having a better time right now.

Peter Gammons of ESPN seemed pretty irked about the timing of ARod’s announcement.

It would have been nice to see Pedro back in Boston in a Mets uniform, giving the Sox a real opponent. Maybe next year. The 2007 season belonged to the Boston Red Sox. Congratulations to them and their fans.
