Lyrics the Rock: “Hate Me Now” by Nas

by bobby on Nov.21, 2007, under music

You wanna hate me then hate me; what can I do
but keep gettin money, funny I was just like you
I had to hustle hard never give up, until I made it
Now y’all sayin that’s a clever nigga, nuttin to play with
Hate on me, I blew but I’m the same ol G
People warn me, when you’re on top there’s envy
Took my niggas out the hood, but you doubt on us
Sayin we left the hood but can’t get it out of us
My bad, should I step out my shoes, give ‘em to you?
Here’s my cars and my house, you can live in that too
Criticize when I flow for the streets, hate my dress code
Gucci this, Fendi that, what you expect hoe?

It’s a thin line between paper and hate
friends and snakes, nine millis and thirty-eights
Hell or the pearly gates; I was destined to come
Predicted, blame God, he blew breath in my lungs
Second to none, wicked turn wives to widows
Shoot through satin pillows, the desolate one
Took a little time to claim my spot
Chairman of the board until this game stop, and I side with the Lord
Ride for the cause while drivin niggas shot at my doors
Plottin I’m sure to catch me with they glocks to my jaws
Tried, stickin me up, but I flipped on these ducks (you tried)
Instead of me, ambulances were picking them up (that’s what you get)
Niggas fear what they don’t understand, hate what they can’t conquer
Guess it’s just the fury of man
Became a monster, on top of the world, never fallin
I’m as real as they come, from day one, forever ballin

Blogworthy: Curt Schilling’s Blog

by bobby on Nov.12, 2007, under sports

Curt Schilling’s blog actually makes you believe that he’s a good guy. He even kept fans informed throughout his recent negotiations with the Sox. A few days ago, he actually posted a letter that was sent to him by Red Sox management when they traded for him in 2004. Very interesting stuff if you ever want to become a GM. Or not. Here’s an excerpt:

We are so close to the goal that has eluded us for 86 years. We would not have traded four talented young players or intruded upon your holiday if we did not sincerely believe that our time is coming very soon. The 2003 Red Sox were a talented and exciting team that came within five outs of reaching the World Series. As an ownership group and management team, we are committed to putting an even better team on the field in 2004 and beyond.

Time to invest in India?

by bobby on Oct.30, 2007, under whatever

The Indian Sensex Index (yes, that’s what it’s called, I swear) is hitting all kinds of record highs as reported in today’s Wall Street Journal. Now, you see, I don’t really read this paper – I just happened to look over someone’s shoulder while they were reading it. And yes, they were Indian. In any case, maybe I should stop blogging and start investing in some kind of Indian Index Fund.

Downtime

To all of our loyal readers, we apologize for the slow loading time we were experiencing earlier today (or was it no-loading time?). It was due to a script on the site that is hosted by Amazon.com. That script has been removed, so things should be back to normal. It’s just that you won’t get those wonderful links in all of our posts that point to Amazon.com. So we may lose a few bucks. Oh well. As long as the world knows that Kim Kardashian is Scoobs’ Babe of the Week and that the Red Sox are World Champs and that Peter Gammons hates A-Rod, it was all worth it.
