Lost Recap: The Beginning of the End (Season Premiere)
by lostofficehero on Jan.31, 2008, under tv

The Season Four Premiere of Lost left off where Season Three had ended: flash-forwards, rescues and more divisions within the castaways. Many questions were raised, which will account for millions of theories, and quite a bit of light was shed on the future of the show. There was a tremendous amout of hype built around this premiere and I must say, I am thrilled that Lost is back. Here’s a recap of this Hugo-flash-forward-centric premiere. (continue reading…)
2 Hour Season Four Premiere Event
by lostofficehero on Jan.31, 2008, under tv
It’s really just a one hour premiere. The first hour is a recap of the first three seasons. Still entertaining. Old Lost > New TV.
A recap of the real episode will be posted soon after it ends.
The Pop of Lost
by lostofficehero on Jan.30, 2008, under tv

The LA Times has a nice little web gallery of pop culture material that Lost references. Some of these are a stretch, but others are head on. Who knew that the character development on the show was inspired by Myst, the video game?
Lost Season 4 Burning Questions
by lostofficehero on Jan.30, 2008, under tv

As the first episode of Season 4 approaches, Lost has dangled a ray of hope for not only the castaways, but also us viewers. The whole story isn’t just about getting off the Island – there is a bigger picture. Maybe it’s got to do with the Lost Sheep referred to in the Bible. Maybe it’s got to do with time travel, or various speeds at which time is portrayed. All of that will be answered in due time, we hope.
There are as many as 8 episodes “in the can” for season 4 of Lost. Let’s hope the writers strike comes to an end so that they can film 8 more. As we get ready for the first of the 8, here are just a couple of burning questions and my theories from last season.
Did they really get rescued?
It appears as if they really will get rescued. At least some of them. From what I can tell, there are some people who chose to leave the Island and others who chose to stay. Judsging from Jack’s remarks to Kate in the flash-forward sequence, Jack regrets having left and is trying to find a way back.
Who was in the casket?
I had the opportunity to meet Michael Emerson (aka Ben) and he was asked the same question. He gave some clues:
1. It’s definitely someone that was, at one point or another, on the Island
2. It’s obviously someone that has no family and no friends
3. It’s obviously someone whom no one on the Island liked
4. It’s someone who Jack cared for
If I had to characterize one person on the Island who had betrayed everyone’s trust, it would be Juliette. She fits into all of the above.
So there you have it. For a complete, episode by episode recap of previous Lost episodes check out our Lost section.
Mets Close in on Deal with Twins for Santana
by lostofficehero on Jan.29, 2008, under sports

That’s Johan Santana! Here’s the story.
I didn’t think this would happen, but it looks like it’s going to be it. They give up Gomez, Mulvey, Humber and Guerra.
Not bad if you’re a Mets fan. Not bad at all.
