I tried to make sweet love to my HD Receiver last night. The picture quality is simple amazing. So good I almost watched a minute of Ghost Whisperer. You know what they say, once you go Hi-Def, you don’t go back go F’N crazy.

I gotta say, even though he is a complete prick, I kinda liked Barry Bonds. I mean, say what you want to about his alleged steroid use, and attitude problem, he’s one of the best damn ball players ever. Remember folks, no positive test results have ever been released, and he was not the one who was found with a bottle of andro in his locker. AND, Barry wasn’t the one that turned into a blubbering fag in front of a senate subcommittee. Besides, who gives a crap – EVERYONE was doing it. I am beginning to think that when Ken Caminiti said upwards of 50% of players were juicing, he was probably dead on. I just felt like posting this in light of the indicment handed down by the feds yesterday.

Ok, if what’s being said here is true, and not just some more PR spin, then I may have to backtrack from my previous comments. As rare as it may be, I may even say, “My bad.” But, let’s see. It just seems that he’s as confused as a ten year-old boy being fed candy and cookies by the local pedophile who then wants to take pictures of him while he does some muscle-flexing poses and then asks him if he knows what is in his pants or something like that. I don’t know man, right now i’m about as convinced by A-rod as Britney is serious about being a good mother.

Jan has a plan to sue Dunder Mifflin for wrongful termination. Michael is the lead witness in the hearing. That wasn’t a great plan. She stole his diary to use as evidence in the case – the diary in which he confessed Ryan’s hotness, and the fact that Michael and Jan had sex 6 times in Jamaica – but it was a one time mistake, according to Jan. In any case, when push came to shove, Michael’s loyalty to the company prevailed. Jan lost the case. Michael felt slighted about the diary thing….see quote above.

Back at the office, Jim and Darly have been competing in Ping Pong matches down in the warehouse. Pam is being teased by Daryl’s new girlfriend Kelly, that her boyfriend sucks at Ping Pong. Enter tons of yo mamma jokes (personally, I liked the one that went “yo mamma so fat, she could eat the internet”). The fellas don’t care about who wins, the girls end up duking it out on the table and, well, it’s boring. A mudfight might have worked better. Dwight and his brother – they are the Forrest Gumps of table tennis.

Fun little episode. Always fun when it’s Michael-centric.

I don’t care that UNC is #1 in the AP and Coaches Polls. I don’t care that almost all the papers and magazines in America have my beloved Tar Heels cutting down nets in early April. What I do care about is the execution on the court and that was surely lacking tonight. Against a very good Davidson team, UNC fumbled, stumbled, and had way to many errors. The final score didn’t show the true nature of the game. Davidson led most of the game and if it wasn’t for their ill advised moves, they would’ve knocked off the #1 team in the country. I’m hoping this is a hiccup and the team starts to gel quickly and limited the turnover errors.

Jay Bilas made an interesting comment during the game. He said whenever UNC coach Roy Williams loses his first game of the season, his team ends up in the Final Four. He might be right, but Jay’s a dookie so I better google it myself.
