Delgado is Hot and the Yankees are Not

Carlos Delgado just won a game for the Mets with a home run (his 2nd of the game) in the bottom of the 12th inning. This was after Jose Reyes walked, got to 2nd on a balk, was sacrificed to 3rd and then scored on another balk. Guess who was pitching? Armando “The Big Dummy” Benitez.
If you look closely at the boxscore The two Carlos’ have about the same production numbers (HR and RBI). That’s how hot Delgado has been.
On another note to all those Yankees fans who are bitching about injuries to players, the Mets are playing without Valentin, Alou, Green, Pedro, Guillermo Mota and Duaner Sanchez. They’ve also played without El Duque for most of the season and somehow, they are up by 5 games over Atlanta in the NL East.
Oh, and Gary Sheffield hit 2 home runs for the Tigers today. Just FYI.
