Lost Recap: Through The Looking Glass

Hugo shows up on the beach with the V-Dub and runs one of Others over! This is awesome. I knew that episode had a point to it. Sayid then snaps one of their necks with his legs while he’s tied up. Holy crap! Sayid is the man! Sawyer and Juliette are now back on the beach too and they all make sure to clean up the mess. After Juliette, Sawyer and Hugo make sure they are in charge, Tommy surrenders. Sawyer shoots him in the stomach “That’s for taking the kid off the raft.” It’s payback time and Mad James is getting some anger off his chest!
Hugo grabs a hold of the walkie and starts talking. Jack hears him and responds. Hugo tells him that everyone is safe on the beach. Sayid, Bernard, Jin, everyone. The Parade is relieved and rejoicing, but then Claire asks about Charlie…. oh Charlie.
Charlie and Desmond are cleaning things up in the Looking Glass. Charlie goes into the room to enter the code to stop the transmission while Desmond looks at the scuba equipment. He enters the code and the blinking yellow light stops flashing. Then a red light goes on indicating an incoming transmission. Charlie hits the button and Penny shows up on the monitor in the room! Charlie talks to her and finds out that she doesn’t know who Naomi is. It’s not Penny’s Boat that is 80 miles offshore. Charlie tells her that he’s with Desmond and that Des is OK. Then, Charlie looks out of the glass and sees Mikhail with a grenade. It seems as if Mikhail just can’t die! He apparently got away by jumping into the water. He pulls the pin to the grenade and it goes off. Charlie sees this and he locks himself in the room before Desmond can get in. The window explodes, water comes rushing in. Charlie writes on his hand “Not Penny’s Boat” as the room fills up with water, and holds it up for Desmond to read. They have a touching moment where both have their hands against the window, looking at each other through the glass and then Charlie drowns. Just as Desmond predicted.
