The Ladies Love Mr. Met
by malik on May.30, 2007, under sports, whatever

While the tabloids in New York are obsessed with a certain cleanup hitter and his rendezvous in Canada, Mr. Met is hitting the town barely noticed. While ESPN has been on Kobe-talks-too-much watch, Mr. Met is making birthday wishes come true. If you’re at a party and Mr. Met isn’t there, then that party sucks.
K-Rock is Back!
by lostofficehero on May.30, 2007, under music
After what seemed like an eternity of horrible radio stations in New York (I actually had to listen to Z100), K-Rock has made a comeback. No more BS Free FM talk radio station. 92.3 on your dial is back to rockin’ out. It looks like they are still working things out – I didn’t hear an on-air personality at all; and there are several job opportunities posted on 923krock.com. There was at least a minute of dead air this evening. Did the playlist run dry? Oops.
Delgado is Hot and the Yankees are Not
by lostofficehero on May.29, 2007, under sports

Carlos Delgado just won a game for the Mets with a home run (his 2nd of the game) in the bottom of the 12th inning. This was after Jose Reyes walked, got to 2nd on a balk, was sacrificed to 3rd and then scored on another balk. Guess who was pitching? Armando “The Big Dummy” Benitez.
If you look closely at the boxscore The two Carlos’ have about the same production numbers (HR and RBI). That’s how hot Delgado has been.
On another note to all those Yankees fans who are bitching about injuries to players, the Mets are playing without Valentin, Alou, Green, Pedro, Guillermo Mota and Duaner Sanchez. They’ve also played without El Duque for most of the season and somehow, they are up by 5 games over Atlanta in the NL East.
Oh, and Gary Sheffield hit 2 home runs for the Tigers today. Just FYI.
shackburger count: 8
by lostofficehero on May.29, 2007, under grub
Before heading out of town for the weekend, I had to grab a burger at the shack. Always a great start to the weekend. On a side note, I had a burger from Pauls (on St. Marks and 2nd ave.) and it was frickin’ awesome too. Different kind of burger, but still good stuff. On my way to heart failure.

With Pirates coming out today, here’s Orlando Bloom on BBC’s Extras. He takes a couple shots at Johnny Depp in the clip.
