Votefortheworst.com has gotten alot of play lately so I’m gonna put in my 2 cents.
I don’t think that I have ever viewed a complete episode of American Idol since it’s inception and apparently I’m in the minority. I am against all that American Idol stands for. It’s nothing but a reality show disguised as a talent show. Now, I do not have any grievances towards reality shows or talent shows per se. It’s just that American Idol plain sucks. And America can’t get enough of it.
Now, votefortheworst.com has been around for awhile now with mediocre popularity but with Howard Stern’s support, it’s gone to new heights. More and more media outlets have picked up on this story. With Sanjaya not being eliminated it seems that votefortheworst.com has done it job. I did catch Sanjaya’s rendition of the The Kinks “You Really Got Me” by accident last week and God was it awful so I’m glad he’s sticking around. Though as a realist I know that Sanjaya will not actually win, but it’ll definitely be one of the greatest tv moments if he’s up there on the final night.
