Lost Recap: Par Avion
March 15, 2007 – 8:34 am by lostofficeheroFirst of all, Claire is hot. Brunette, blonde, doesn’t matter - she’s hot. OK, now that that’s out of the way, a lot went down on last night’s episode of Lost, here’s a bullet list of stuff:
-Claire comes up with an idea to catch birds and attach a message to them as they migrate south (why just one message on one bird, wouldn’t you do at least several?)
-Claire learns of Desmond’s premonitions regarding Charlie
-Claire is hot
-The “find Jack crew” finds a security perimeter that has some kind of weird way of automatically killing anyone who passes through it, they find out by pushing Patch-man through it (well, John pushed Patch man through)
-John Locke seems to have an agenda
-They land on some kind of campus where they see Jack playing catch with a football with one of The Others
more details (and comparison between blonde Claire and brunette Claire) after the jump
Meanwhile, in Flashbackville, we learn the following:
-Claire and Jack have the same father!
-Claire is hot as a brunette
-Claire’s mother might have died in a car accident (last we know, she’s comatose and on the beach, Claire refers to her in the past tense “my mother was…” but then doesn’t admit to anything)
-Yes, Claire and Jack have the same (asshole?) father!
-Claire gets knocked up (by who?) while her mother is comatose
So that’s a whole lot to swallow, but what gets me is how poorly the episode was put together. I mean, finding out that Claire and Jack are related is huge; and the episode sucked so bad that you almost forgot about that part by the end…or maybe the episode was that good.
So here’s my burning questions and theories from last night’s episode. How effin big is this island? And I thought Jack was on a different island? How do they see him at the end of the episode playing football? Is that real, because it didn’t seem real. Maybe the black smoke has a way of doing black magic and making things appear? I still think Desmond is the key to Lost, but his character is starting to act a little too strange. I want to see him act, not see him run around like an idiot. So much potential there. My prediction is that Desmond is the character who will die (trying to save Charlie who will be trying to save Claire). But, I don’t think it’s coincidence that Des looks like Jesus. He already seems to have had a second life, or sorts, and if he does die, that probably will mean that he’s not really dead.
Say what you may, the only thing that I got out of Par Avion (Avian Flu?) for certain was: Claire is hot!
